The Bluetooth support in early versions was insufficient for these remotes. I assume that you have a current version of Windows 10.

I see that I wrote "one battery" in the installation instructions but I recall that I have sometimes found it necessary to remove two, one from each side, to ensure that there can be absolutely no power to the remote for a short time. Please try removing one battery from each side, instead of just one battery. I don't have urc-7880 but I don't see any obvious mistakes in your steps of installing the extender v2 reading the readme.txt that comes with the installation files. It works for both my macos laptop running in bootcamp windows with the built in bt or a cheap no brand bt dongle as well. I have url-7980 and v2 extender installed. I'm building this remote for my daughter, and I know I can go ahead and use the Prolific cable for that, but I was really interested in making Bluetooth work for me.ĭo you have any other cheap no brand bt dongle to test?

I note that the instructions warn that the Windows 10 Bluetooth connection might not work, but before concluding that it's not working, I thought I'd check here to see if I'm doing something wrong, or if there could be some other problem.
